PLEASE READ

Recipe disclaimer

What our recipes, nutrition figures and labels can and cannot tell you.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

Nomisto publishes recipes and cooking information for home cooks. It is general information, not professional, medical, nutritional or dietary advice.

Nutrition figures are estimates

Nutrition panels are labelled "estimated per serving". We calculate them from ingredient weights using standard reference values (USDA FoodData Central). Actual values change with the brands you buy, exact quantities, portion size and cooking method. If you need exact figures for a medical condition, such as diabetes or kidney disease, or for weight management, please speak to a doctor or registered dietitian.

Allergens

Recipes may contain or come into contact with common allergens, including milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts (cashews, almonds), sesame, wheat and gluten, soy, mustard, fish and shellfish. Asafoetida (hing) is often blended with wheat flour. Always read the labels on your own ingredients; we cannot know what is in the products you buy.

Diet labels

Labels such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free or high-protein describe the recipe as written, using typical ingredients. Check packaged ingredients yourself, especially if you follow a diet for medical or religious reasons.

Food safety

Results vary

Timings and temperatures are guides. Stoves, ovens, pans and ingredients differ, so use the visual cues in each step as well as the clock. Some photographs are AI-generated illustrations, as our editorial policy explains, so your dish may look different.

No sponsorship

Nomisto is not sponsored by any brand, and we do not use affiliate links. If that ever changes, we will say so clearly on the page concerned.
